   Lab, Ultrasound, Radiology Reports:
The results of your laboratory tests, ultrasounds and radiology studies should arrive in our office for physician review within 7-10 business days after they are performed. You can expect to be notified after the physician or Nurse Practitioner reviews the results.

It is the policy VWHA for all patients to be notified of their test results. We are committed to following up with all test results and want to assure you that all tests ordered are reported to the office by the laboratory and then to you. If you have not received a call or a mailing within 2 weeks, please call the office so that we can be sure to follow-up on the report.

   Mammogram Reports:
Is is the responsibility of the radiology centers to notify patients of their mammogram results. You can also expect a notification from our practice once the report has been reviewed. It will take approximately 7 working days for a report to be sent to us and reviewed before we can notify you. If you have not received notification within 2 weeks, it is extremely important that you contact our office so we can ensure your written report has been received.

   Pap Smear Reports:
Pap smears routinely take 2-4 weeks to be reported to the office.  Patients can expect a notification of results to be mailed to them after the report is received and reviewed. In the event of abnormal findings, you will be notified by the physician or the nursing staff. Again, if you have not received notification within 4-6 weeks, please contact the office.

   Prescription Refills
Routine prescription refills will be called in to your pharmacy within 24-48 hours of the request to the office. We ask that our patients plan their prescription needs carefully and call for refills during office hours only. Routine prescription refills including birth control pills can only be refilled through the office not the answering service during nights and week-ends.

TEST RESULTS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE DURING OFFICE HOURS
